Do I do it?

I have no idea what I should be looking for.

I just helped a buddy and he had this out front and I remember my wife saying she always wanted one.

I have no idea the mileage yet etc, or the goods and the bads.

its a 95 5 speed and manual transfer case. Cloth interior.

Does anyone know of a list to check out on them or stay away froms?

 

T4R has an excellent write up on the 3rd gen. This is a second gen. I think many of the same issues applied. The 3.0 is underpowered and the head gasket is a notorious weakspot:

95 is a second gen stay away. You want a 3rd gen (96 to 02, but 96 to 99 are the best years if you want a rear locker, 01 and 02 don't come with a rear locker)
