Welcome!! The SR may be lacking in some features but its a really great truck regardless! I would suggest removing the air dam/chin spoiler, makes the truck look taller and gives some extra clearance if you're into off-roading.

Nice ride dude and good for you.
Everybody falls down on the journey, the question is whether or not you get back up again.

My kid finished in the top of his class Freshman year of college - took hard courses too.
The next year he flunked out completely.

He was down and out and we had moved 6 states away, had him out for a visit and he never left LOL..

Took some catch-up classes at a community college... then went on to a class university and graduated
Summa Cum Laude ( highest distinction ) in computer science -
Ripping his Master's program out the azz right now too... all free-ride due to his grades, and working for the University to boot
and damn if he's got a nice little bank account.

So bottom line is you took some hits, got kicked down and got back up - good deal glad to hear it.

You ask anybody this question: Do you think you could ( insert whatever here )
Their answer will always be true.
If they say 'no' well that's the correct answer.
If they say 'yes' then that's just as correct.

You ( me / anyone out there ) can do anything you want. Ain't nobody stopping you.

You're gonna like that truck .!!... drive it as-is for a month or 2 or 3 and then see what suits you.

Found this thread searching “bed organizer”.

OP, if you still want the honeycomb TRD Off Road grill, just let me know. I’m getting the TRD Lift Kit next week (provided it’s still not on stop sale) so I won’t need mine anymore (truck has 350 miles on it now) since the Kit comes with an OEM Pro grill. It’s yours for free less actual cost of shipping. Just pay it forward to someone who might need some help.

Admirable story OP. A lot of people take it for granted what they have. It’s been awhile since I heard a story like yours and I’m stoked for ya. You bought into a great vehicle, these things can do it all. I’ve driven a Gen 2 4x4 SR5 Tacoma 750mi off-road from Vegas to Yuma through some ridiculous terrain and it handled it all. I’m certain you’ll be pleased with yours. Good luck on the build/mods
