Like the title says I'm upgrading my stock stereo. Here is the plan so far..

Got the Subaru (kicker) tweeters, and cs series front door speakers coming. Along with a kicker 8" powered sub (hideaway) I'm keeping the stock head unit. I'm sure you noticed that I didn't list rear door speakers. That's because I'm not changing them. With the stock head unit there is so little power going to the rear that I just don't see the point.

Once the parts arrive and I get them installed I'll update this thread with my thoughts on the results

Ok, parts came and are installed. I replaced the tweeters and front door speakers. As well as installing the 8" kicker hideaway powered sub.

I did the speaker replacements first and the difference was noticeable immediately. I could probably have stopped there and been happy. Bass was decent and clarity much improved. Today I added the sub and it is just what it needed. Sounds good on the inside. Just the thump it needed to put it over the top

I'm planning on getting the same sub. What harness did you use to hook it up to the stock head unit?
