Howdy. hope you're all doing well. Ive been fighting the demon lately. There have been a couple different shims on my axle and several combinations of CB spacers employed, but I have not been able to completely calm this drive shaft. It likely will never happen. Oh, I have new shims on the way. Ill likely see what I can do with them, but Im not particularly confident. Anywho...

The reason Im imposing yet another facking drive line vibration thread on you poor people is this:
    I measured my angles a few days ago. TCase3.2, CB3.2, Pinion7.6yikes.
ordered a 6 degree wedge right away!!!

    remeasured them today. TCase4.9, CB2.7, Pinion3.3.....WHAT.

    thoughts??
    concerns??

Those angles seem to change after each time you drive. It depends how you parked, load on the axle, day of the week and where the sun is.
Following a comment @fourfourone left for me, I decided to stop screwing with my angles and for the most part, they’re gone or show up at different speeds. The vibes even when they show up are not rattling my fillings out so I’m not too concerned. Good luck in your search!

Make sure you're not on the weld or anything else when measuring. Also make sure you zero the gauge on the same surface/cross member every time to account for different parking

You might also check the CB bearing for excessive play. Not to drive you insane with other things to chase, but that helped a lot of the vibe issues on my 2012

thanks for the suggestions. no excessive play, measured and re-measured. zero'ed. all done properly. 3.5degree difference in a month.

Could it be you have a different load in the bed? More weight will lower your rear end, essentially negating any lift you achieved.

Bed load is basically the same. But regardless of what I have in the bed. The front shaft angle in relation to the transfer case SHOULD NOT CHANGE 3.5 degrees without adding or subtracting shims.

I would think you’re definitely right about that.

The carrier bearing is letting it sit in different places, it's rubber in there.
