    Hello all,

    New to this forum, however I have been a fan of Tacoma's since I was a young man, bought a 2004 SR5 xtracab Toyota Tacoma MT and had it for around 6 years and now I have a 2021 TRD Pro Lunar Rock MT and of course I love it!! Looking forward to getting braver off-roading!

    Yes, I had to order this truck and it took around 6 months before I got it. I hope it being a manual will prevent theft, that would be unfortunate to come back from a hike and find its missing. :(

    You'll be fine. Most people don't know how to drive stick, so it's a running joke that a manual trans is a theft deterrent. You can always get a steering wheel club or brake pedal club lock if needed. Plus, I think the manual trans comes with a regular key to start the truck vs. the fob with push button start? Anyways that's more secure too. If I ever trade my 2017 I'm definitely getting a manual trans. I feel like it gives you better control of the vehicle and you can make it do what you want. Enjoy your new truck!:thumbsup:
