Just had our transmission replaced

So we bought a high mileage (98,000) 2016 limited, and overall love the truck. Luckily the truck came with a 3,000 mi bumper to bumper warranty. Not really apparent on test drives but when in slow and go traffic noticed the truck would really shudder/shake when accelerating from low RPM. Anyways at the tail end of that 3,000 mile warranty took it back to the dealership. Dealer tech confirmed it and after doing a transmission flush sent it straight to a full transmission replacement. Problem did go away thankfully. Dealership was painless to deal with and overall a great experience.

 

Consider yourself lucky that it was covered under the 3k bumper to bumper. Now you have the peace of mind that it has a new tranny (or Toyota rebuilt) and has a warranty. Enjoy your new ride!

 

Yup, overall a great upgrade to our 2003. Still miss the smaller size on occasion but the heated seats and dual zone climate make me forget about it lol.
