Figured it's about time to stop being lazy and finally make a build thread for my adventure vehicle...

Here's how she sits currently, but i'm going to start at the beginning and showcase some of the awesome crap I've acquired on my journey as well as some tweaks and custom stuff I've done. The truck is really purpose built to get my family and I as far away from a good portion of the general public... We love to get out and go camping, and rarely are caught without our 3 inflatable paddle boards. There is my wife, my 2 daughters, my 2 giant dogs, and myself... We are alone 99% of the time, so being prepared is important.

...damn that was long winded....... I may have a problem.... Ok onto some installs and other fun stuff.

 

To start off.... I picked this girl up in Eugene, OR... 11,000 miles..... ridiculously low price, in April of 2020... Right in the middle of COVID panic and shutdowns. I've had my eyes on these trucks for a long time, and I absolutely had to have this color specifically.... This was an 8 hour drive, and I traded my last vehicle straight in for this at the BMW dealer it was sitting at.

 

Frist Priority....

Wheels/Tires obviously..... why not with how much those stock Pro ones are worth....

 

I bought this truck to use it, from the very beginning..... nice and shiny paint be dammed.... This was 3 weeks into ownership.

 

Onboard Air was next priority... Not only does the ride suck at full tire PSI, but we live on our inflatable paddleboards.

 

Then came the Revtek kit. Much better, and a damn cheap way to hit 3." This went in with a cab mount relo, no more rubbing for me.

 

Still having a blast with it..... Got the highlift on there. This is a locking setup, from Extreme Terrain.

 

Fitting everything as tight as possible was always important from the beginning. Getting this how it is today was a bit of a damn adventure, but it works great. This is quick fists holding the shovel and axe to the rack, as well as a SmittyBuilt Axe/Shovel mount to keep it from rattling. With MaxTrax ON TOP OF IT!!!! Works beautifully with the Victory 4x4 MaXTrax bracket as well as locking pins..

The FINAL NON RTT camping trip.... Where I got my first taste of why I needed a high clearance bumper. We weren't even able to get to the camping spot we picked, but we met some really amazing folks that both had CVT RTT's and sold me on aa new one that waas in development. I told them I had no interest in RTT's, because I need that a space to haul gear. Little did I know, there was something new coming that would solve that problem.

 

So we waited and begged CVT, and ended up getting one right as some became available.. The CVT Hybrid. LOOK AT THAT MOUNTING REAL ESTATE!
I think the dog will be a lot happier now as well...

 

FINALLY THE NEW BUMPER IS COMING!!! Time for the snip snip.... I recommend a laser level, and alot of patience.

 

Talk about a pain the ass with this damn winch.....

Back bumper made it, ATH fab, local to NV. Cant even begin to praise this thing enough.....
