    Hello,

I'm looking at buying a 2010 Tacoma 2.7 4wd regular cab here shortly. The cats are missing and so is the secondary 02 sensor (current owner lives in a non-emission county here in Utah and likely never replaced cats after they'd been stolen).

I have no problem with this as it is an easy but expensive fix. I called my local dealership and they quoted me roughly $1,600 for the cat system and roughly $400 for the 1st and 2nd 02 sensors. I'll likely have a cat back built to be on a budget.

I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with aftermarket cats? I'm definitely getting OEM 02 sensors but I wanna know if I can save a little by going aftermarket for cats. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

My cat was replaced free at Toyota. Check your vin for the recall. I can’t see why they wouldn’t replace yours if it wasn’t done. Good luck.

I looked up the VIN and don't see any open recalls.

I ordered the AFE mid pipe instead of any OEM replacement or something custom built. They are taking their time making it...
