I’m sure, or at least I hope this is already been answered. Is there a way to get the air intake out of the wheel well without doing a snorkel, like for example is there an air intake where the grill mounted portion can be the only air intake and you can delete the fender intake?

    Yep... AFE Air Intake

    https://www.extremeterrain.com/afe-...hLhFnoBDJtA_40V4cssaAkopEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Replaces your entire airbox. FYI... I just linked the first vendor I saw with it. I don't endorse this vendor.

Edit: Although it looks like it only adds a forward intake... doesn't eliminate the wheel well intake.

I dont think theres a product that completely reroutes the airflow. Like @Bertw192 posted Inventory makes one similar. But you still have the opening from the wheel well. I guess you can buy some kind "plug" to fill/block the wheel well opening.

    Whats the purpose?

Moving the air intake to the grill is still very restrictive. You definitely want it on your hood for maximum air flow. My friend cut his hood and attached it from there. It's a pretty easy mod and doesn't impact other components in your engine.

I just want custom fender liners with some chopping and what not I’m doing and I think it would be a good time to commit to a snorkel unless there’s another option. Yes I’ve seen all the air intakes with the grill intake but wasn’t sure if plugging the fender intake was advisable

I’ll probably just keep it in the fender. I know how this site feels about cold air intake replacements for a truck that already has a cold air intake

So just curious why you want to move the intake to the front?

There is a guy on Instagram that plugged the wheel well hole and only runs the front air intake. There is also a 2nd gen mod that I think would be interesting to see more of on a 3rd gen where it is rerouted up to the cowl under the winsheild.

They make a functional scooped hood that works with stock intake box.
