The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
You can play around with this calculator to see how the new tire size / offset combination will change compared to the stock size. Won’t tell you what will rub but helps to visualize and learn how the geometry changes.

    These are 17x8.5” 0et with 265/70/17
I had zero issues, nothing close to rubbing, with that tire size.

That was actually on stock suspension wheni took that picture. I am now on Bilstein 6112/5160s, front is only set to only 1” of lift. 6F9A1285-55AE-48E5-BA9D-A0865CF6C2C7.jpg

Sorry, I just saw this. I actually did have a slight rub but was very minimal and didn't happen often. I have since added Bilstein 6112/5160s. I set to 1" lift in the front and all rubbing has been eliminated.

Off topic but this is the exact setup I’ve been wanting pics of. Looks pretty level, which is what I’m looking for

Nice. This is the setup I'm debating between with a 0 offset wheel. That tiny bit more poke is nice. Did you have to do a CMC or get any rubbing with the -10 offset?

    I just changed to a 17x8.5 +12 offset wheel with 265/70R17 tires on a stock SR5.
I have 1/4" clearance to the stock mudflap minimum, at half a turn.
Any larger tire or a more negative offset would touch...
    Goodbye mudflap.

I have a 2016 TRD sport. I want to put Baja ar172 on truck with 0 offset. the OE Rims are 30mm. Anyone do anything similar? I was told they may rub and i missed that when ordering. Tire Rack will take back but I really want to keep. Any suggestions?

I am seeing so many different offsets. It almost seems every Tacoma is different even though they are the same year.

How much of a offset would I need to be flush with the wheel well and not mess with the alignment specs along with and no clearance issues on stock suspension, thinking about 16x7 wheels , any recommendations

How would a 265/75/r16 with a positive 10 offset kick out the tires noticeable compared to the stock trd off road tires ?

Would it also depend on what width wheel you will use? For instance, stock Tacoma OR wheel is 16" x 7" +25 offset. The majority of aftermarket wheels I've come across are 7.5" to 8.5" for our trucks. Not sure how much that effects tire shape when it comes to width?
