One of the most embarrasing items on the 3rd Gen, at least the 2021, is how small the diameter is of the drink holders. Only my kids travel cups fit cleanly. I even bought the most narrow hydro flask I could find at 24oz and 2.75" wide (Yes I know they are over-priced but I got them on sale so it wasn't as bad!) and those don't fit cleanly.

I evaluated the mods that fit in the holder with a wider top. The Tacoma cab is tight enough so I opted to not do that. Instead I bought a handful of cup holder coasters off Amazon for $2.99 per pair. I then took some velcro squares, the "loop" side of the velcro as they are softer, and put then around the rim of the holders, about 2/3rds of the way up.

The coasters raise the bottom of the holder up enough so the 24oz hydro-flask does not hit the sides. The velcro stabalizes the hydro flask since the holders get wider as it gets towards the top.

• The front takes one coaster per side
• The one behind the shifter gets 2 stacked on each other
• The ones is the back are the worst, they require 4 stacked to raise the bottom enough.

Yes I got the green hydro flask to nearly match the Army Green!

I did check this out before I did mine. I am hesitant to pull the rail up, seems whenever I mess with something like that on a vehicle I break a clip! I am going to try mine out and see how it works out in the next few months. If I feel like I need more space I will give this a try. I'll pay attention to my side leg space, but I do like that these are soft and press in when not is use. Plus can double as extra storage space for other stuff.

Very creative solution you had, might be the best one I have seen. Just not ready for it yet.

The center console comes up really easy and you shouldn't break any clips as long as you don't gorilla it. My wife is more than stoked on the new set up as she was tired of my yeti bottle banging into her ankles....lol

I know that feel, I just got my Tacoma last week. My last car I drove like 18K/yr in it. 60+ miles a day.

 

Today I added a glove box divider, head unit screen protector and steering wheel logo blackout badge.

Nah you shouldn’t break anything. Easy to do and they’re great. Ordered one for both sides and our big nalgenes fit in there perfectly. Super happy with ours and the customer support from Static

Here's mine, purchased on September 15, 2020 (8 months 1/2) sitting at 4227 miles.

 

Ive plasti dipped my emblems and the chrome around my door handles and also the chrome around the grill and foglights.

Swapped for the black bezel lef foglights

Led my highs and lows and reverse.. jdm astar

I swapped my map lights to meso customs led map lights and replaced the rest of the bulbs with led.

I did a 3/2 spacer lift and added a spidertrax 1.25 wheel spacer. Currently waiting to pull the trigger on some tires.

I painted my chrome exhaust tip with some high heat matte spray paint..

Installed the caliraised hidden bumper light bar..

Color matched my side mirror covers

meso customs smoked turn signals

Still got a long way to go..

Oh and i got a can am renegade to have something to haul around.. my next project my wife doesnt know is going to be a long rabbit hole also
