My new 2021 DCSB TRD OR 4wd has a V6 badge but no 4x4 badge on the tailgate. Was it dropped for 2021?
I don't really miss it but I am curious.
Mine is black, picked it up with 7 miles (5/29) and I've been inside the tailgate adding the power lock. Shows no signs of prior paintwork.
    Thanks

They probably ran out of OR stickers because they kept putting them on Pros by mistake when they moved production to Mexico.

I got a 2021 and it didn’t have the 4x4 also. Must not be on them anymore. Good thing for me because I debadged the whole truck

anything other than the TRD sport or Offroad has the 4x4 on the tail gate (SR, SR5, Limited & Pro)
The TRDs have the stickers on the bedsides.

There's never been a 4x4 badge on the tailgate for the Trd Off Road and Sport. There's only a badge for the SR, SR5, and Trd Pro.

Makes sense I have a TRD sport and off-road and both never had any.

I put the black overlays on the other badges.
Will see how I like that for a while.
The first thing I checked when I picked it up was to confirm the 4wd shift knob existed.

My 2021 TRD Sport came with the V6 badge but not the 4x4 badge. As others have pointed out, the TRD OR and Sport don't have them. Lack of a 4x4 badge is an identifier for the TRD trim level.

You can get the OEM 4x4 badge for about $19 on ebay. The placement of the badge is exactly 1.433" (36.4 mm) from the left edge of the tailgate, and 5.957" (151.3 mm) from the bottom edge of the tailgate. It simply presses on with the included adhesive tape.

But if you put one on (especially if you have removed the bedside decals and changed the tail lights, as I have), someone might think you have a lower trim level.

I still think they're kind of neat. Debating whether or not to put one on.

Another factor is that the 4x4 badge is a different (larger) font size than the V6 badge on the right. That would make your tailgate markings asymmetrical.

Pretty sure the base SR and the Pro also have a 4x4 badge on the tailgate. Maybe it's different in Canada?

Actually I was wrong, pro is the same in Canada.

I know limited for sure has the 4x4 decal and I’m pretty sure the SR5 does as well.

You can buy one on Amazon for like $15, that’s what I did. Don’t really know why I did it, but I did

I think the tailgates look the best with no emblems at all.

I put one on my TRD OR since I go through a lot of chain controls, and with snow, the bedside stickers are not always visible. To each their own.
