Just looked, I got enough tire to cover 12,168 lbs. they’re rated 3,042 lbs each. Looks like when they sold it they would have put enough tire to cover the weight rating. Something else added to the list to upgrade :annoyed:

I was wondering how you were running LT tires. Once a trailer passes the 6k axles the ST tires are needed to meet load rating.

This is what I have been using:

Another issue I ran into is having the right load rated wheels. Mine require 4400 lb rating and there was two that were rated at 3940 lbs.

My one man save the iron crusade continues.
Early fifties Wisconsin twin, #3 in two weeks.

This one has magneto ignition but an electric starter.
All good iron has a story, I got this from a nice young man about 100 miles away. 40 or more years ago his grandfather built a log splitter with this for power. He (grand son) took it off about ten years ago when he couldn't get it to start.
    KIMG1493.jpg

This one has a cast iron carburetor, the other two are aluminum.KIMG1492.jpg
This is a model TFD, 53.9 cubic inches.
A letter "D" in a Wisconsin model indicates the heavier duty Stellite exhaust valve.

There is only my (good and long suffering) wife and myself. As long as I'm not bringing it in the house she is good...
    (I think -- I'm not asking);)

Funny, when I was a kid there was always someones car disassembled in the driveway. We put newspaper down and rebuilt carburetors on the kitchen table. My mom never said a word negative about it - just kept our bellies full even though she didn't have much income.

Seeing it as an adult, she knew:
    1) where I was
    2) who I was with
    3) what we were doing
My mom was pretty darn sharp, lived to 91.

For years I called every night about 7, check up on her and talk about the day.
She has been gone 5-1/2 years and I still sometimes think "I'll have to tell Mother about this later".

    Damn straight buddy!
During WW2 she an Army Air Forces flight simulator operator (Link Trainer), then she put herself through college and graduate school - not too common for a single woman in the 1940's.

Don't rain on his parade. It's still a high end consumer brand.

The same thing in a commercial grade is gonna be north of $10k.
