Good morning (at least it's morning in Minnesota)

My wife talked me into buying a Mallard M27 travel trailer for my trip down south while I'm attending a long-term military class. It will be my primary home while I spent 6-8 week in San Antonio and about 4-7 months in Little Rock.

I have a 2021 SR5 and I bought the E2 hitch/sway-bar assembly, along with the trailer braking module.

I drive semi part time with the military, so I'm not foreign to towing over the road, but I never towed with my Tacoma, and not sure about the towing characteristics.

The M27 dry weight is 5600lb, with a max gross of 6900, however given my situation and the max towing capacity of my truck being 6400lb, I'm very limited on my cargo and don't plan on bringing anything outside of some clothes, living supplies and enough water to make a 2-3 day trip down to Texas then load up on water and food/water once I arrive.

There won't be mountains, and I'm aware of the winds issues, so I'm looking at the general handling characteristics, general MPG, speed suggestions and so on for those of you experienced with these trips.

    Thanks in advance!

    Trevor
