I wouldn't report this to insurance being that cheap of a fix. No point in the chance of having it show up as a truck that was involved in an 'accident'.

Luckily a valance is less than $100 and pretty easy to replace; thats for a none painted one though. I wouldn't go through insurance

I wouldn't report it to the insurance. Something similar happened to me a while back and they also scratched the area around the light too. From what I can tell on mine it looks like the clips on the valance broke so it doesn't sit nice and snug anymore. You can't tell it's broken unless you get close, so I haven't fixed it yet and probably won't unless it gets worse. I get reminded every time I wash the truck that's it broken.

That sucks! How hard is that part to replace? Looks like a black textured one on eBay is about $180

Pop the clips and pull the piece off. Grab some black plastidip and spray about 4-5 coats. Let dry for a few hours and re-install. That’s what I would do, I’ve used plastidip on many vehicles to cover scuffs in small locations as long as you’re content with it being black. Plastidip is very durable. Otherwise you’re stuck having it repainted which is costly as others have mentioned. If you want some plastidip advice, PM me or look up techniques on the internet. Good luck OP

    That sucks but not shocked.

Well rather than spend $500 on replacing the stock plastic bumper, might as well look into a aftermarket steel or aluminum bumper

Not very unusual to be dinged in a parking lot. I try to shield at least one side of my truck when shopping at the grocery market by parking next to the shopping cart corral. Already got one slight crease from someone with a black car. At least i was saved by the ceramic glass coating....was able to rub off the black paint, but you can still see the tiny crease.

You have her tag, track her down and get revenge. Cops don’t care. No injuries involved. She knew I bet. Time for payback. It shows up on car fax you have an accident on you truck for this.

Yea I got her insurance. I’ll have them pay for the damage. I’m considering replacing with a slimline type.

She told the trooper she didn’t realize she hit my truck which is BS. She took a long pause before fleeing, I watched her. Anyway this isn’t personal for me I just don’t wanna get screwed here. I already reported it so I’m gonna try to get things fixed up here.
