I know there are cheaper ways to go if you're into cans - 3 of them. I’m done with that, don’t have to lift any and with a transfer pump it will actually transfer cleaner than you can pour 3 jerrycans with no spills on the ground or in the bed either. Its also a safer way to carry that much extra fuel, and a bumper with multiple jerry can mounts on a swingout costs 10x that.

You know that jerry cans can also go in the truckbed? Works well!

And if one leaks or goes bad, it's not the entire supply you're carrying.

Thought about all that, used to use three 5-gallon Eagle Safety cans and kept all 3 in a spill proof container as well to keep them secure. I am making a integrated storage system for my stuff in the bed and the cans would be a big hassle to accommodate. Jerry cans were the worse for me, the tie downs were an issue, emptying them into the gas tank sucked, and the corrugated filler spouts got stuck and ripped up the filler spout edges on the truck. The tank is permanently mounted and cant move even in a rollover if in an accident, and doesnt need to be carried and lifted around to fill from it.

There are pros and cons to both, just depends on what one wants and how they want to use them.
