I sent them an email asking about that. I haven’t heard back yet.

The measurements looked good, it’s 9” wide so it will take up a bit of room extending in from the bedside, and you wont have cubby access behind it when it is mounted. But the length from the curve of the wheel well to the tailgate will work in a shortbed.

No cubby on the driver’s side.

That Titan option is really interesting.

Cubbies on both sides and no Toyota nanny, shoulda, coulda bought a ‘17! :bananadance:

it would have been nice if Toyota took out the other cubby on the passenger side and moved the outlet to the driver side instead in those newfangled models, then you could’ve used the tank to counter the Taco lean without covering the passenger side cubby and outlet.

That's a beautiful product, but damn, that price tag!!!!

There is a company in Chico, CA called TransFer Flow, they make many different models of fuel tanks for full sized trucks, both gas and diesel. They make a direct OEM replacement tank (I had one of these on my 2001 Dodge Cummins, took the OEM 35 gallon tank to 60 gallons), a spare tire [rear of the back axle] add on tank, and a few different models that go in the truck bed that are either a fuel tank only, or fuel tank/tool box combo unit.

My father in law tows a 32' 5th wheel trailer, he has their 150 gallon fuel tank only bed mounted unit.

All their tanks are welded steel, no plastic nonsense. If I recall correctly, I had my OEM direct replacement installed at the TransFer Flow factory for a total price of around $900, back in 2002. If they made a tank for Tacomas I would be seriously interested :)
