    I drive a Miata.
    Those made me rethink how useful bungees really are, I use them for all light duty loads now. They clip to anything, they always have the right amount of tension, and they can stretch to the full width of the bed. Its a rare day when I have to break out the ratchet straps anymore.

    In fact here they are supposed to have covers over the load. You'll see them with the tarps rolled up at the front of the dump when they are empty. They roll them out and snug them down when hauling a load. Locally the highway patrol just loves to write those tickets.

    As a motorcycle rider I would just like to remind everyone how dangerous it is to let junk fall out on the road. I know a few people who have been killed or badly hurt after hitting junk left on the road and believe me their families wouldn't it’s too much effort to secure the stuff you’re hauling.
