Here are a few basic upgrades done to the truck from stock SR:

• Swapped stock rims with Gen 3 TRD Off road rims
• N2 extended range remote start and wireless entry (2 FOBs)
• Husky floor mats
• Front mounted 9,000lbs CURT hitch
• Installed rear 8,000lbs CURT hitch
• Toyota OEM 2020 6' Rubberized bed mat
• Locking, low profile, reinforced, soft roll up Tonneau cover
• All lights replaced with 6000k LED lamps (standard/high/turn/brake)
• LED interior lights
• 4" flatbeam nerf bars

The major upgrade(s) is the $8K I've invested in just the audio components to the truck. The stereo system includes a HUGE custom Mr. Marv (just built May 2021) box that I finished (walnut dye / poly). It is ported and custom tuned around 27Hz for a JL Audio 13W7 AE subwoofer, and mounted to a custom kinetically isolated plate that replaces the original truck toolbox cavity (toolbox will be provided with truck). The sub is ran from a JBL RD1500/1 amp using a 2 gauge pure copper fused power line, which also splits to power a 4 channel SD EVOX amp ran to JBL Stadium component speakers w/ tweeter crossover (front and back). This is all fed from a Kenwood Excelon DDX9907XR with a Maestro RR ECM integration unit. Lastly, all of the truck doors and back panel have been layered with Stinger Roadkill damper. There's also a custom amp remote wire kill switch I installed next to the remote amp gain knob (pic below), so you can listen to music normally, and then flip the switch to go into beast mode. This is a hell of a system, and is a lot of fun to show off.

Considering offers with me removing subwoofer, box, and JL amp. If I did this, I'd reduce the price by $2,700. Here's the Carvana purchase offer, which is without factoring in thousands in aftermarket upgrades (their system doesn't recognize non-Vin options). And these places hard lowball...

 

Nice truck, I'd take the Carvana offer and remove all of the mods and sell them separately. Mods don't add value to the price of the truck.

 

Yup, do this. People know how much farkles cost you, but aren't interested in paying for someone else's customization, and definitely not their install labour. Same as the dual sport motorcycle world, most farkles will only get pennies on the dollar back to the owner.

Seat delete. The utility version comes with a back blanking panel and a total-width storage bin. I have the storage bin still, but I ended up blanking out the bin cavity as well (with a pine board and some robber grommets) to install the sub box (and run a few wires to the amp, that can be re-routed if needed).

 

Is the Carvana price set by the purchaser, or seller? We don't have it here in Canada (yet.) I'm honestly curious, it looks like to build the same truck (with no stereo stuff) would cost about $29,000 from Toyota. Are people willing to pay a premium because of lack of availability?

 

The price is set by Carvana, it's their purchase price from me. Their retail would likely be in the mid to high 30s. You are correct, demand is outweighing supply significantly.

 

I would have, lol. I hate the install part, I just wanted the finished product. But I think you're right. I'm going to get Carvana over pick it up and just pull some of the equipment off.

That all said, they're going to list it much higher than I sell it to them. So it's still on the table if someone wants to talk before they get here this Sunday.

 

Pulled the audio and sold to Carvana. Highly recommend, no bs and killer cash offer.
