Air bag light has been on awhile. Horn finally went out. Replaced the clock spring with oem. Horn works but the air bag light is still on. Any ideas?

Never threw a code. I was actually happy when the horn went out because I figured that narrowed it down but nope.

It’s possible the passenger occupant weight sensor became uncalibrated. Had the same issue, recalibrated it myself with Techstream, allegedly, and issue was fixed, allegedly

Yes both the dash and the light by my AC controls went off and have not returned, in this hypothetical scenario

How was that presenting? I've noticed that lighter weight people sit in passenger side, it will throw the airbags off. But the code it throws says its my driver side seat belt restraint charge. I tested that and it came out okay. Very intermittent too, it works itself out and is fine again. I don't mind intermittent wipers but airbags should like, always be working...

Yup! And when the airbags throw a code, the mode is to shut them all down. So no airbags.

Just to be clear, most consumer version code readers can not read air bag codes.

Yeah I bought one that reads airbag and SRS codes. It seems more often than not someone sitting in the passenger seat throws the airbag system light, but the codes always come back as driver side seat belt tension charge open/short (one of the two) but I took that apart and tested it, no short. Might just be coincidental but man... does not seem that way at all.

Would the autozone shop code reader do it? I have a cheap Amazon job. Does anyone know if they are doing code reading again?

Very doubtful They don't have a real high-quality scanner.

IF the Air Bag Light is on there is a Code for the SRS System. Get it read and get back with us.
