I guess the question should be, can my ridgeline tow a trailer with a half yard of sand? I would use the bed but that’s just for looks and a roof top tent that I sleep in once a year.

I get a lot of barkdust. I use a heavy duty tarp thats about 16 by 20. I lay it down in the bed, with a bunch of it covering the cab and a bunch of it hanging over the bedsides, and a bunch of it hanging over the tailgate. They drop in the barkdust, I spread it out kind of evenly, then I take all the excess tarps and fold them up over the barkdust and then use a cargo net to hold the tarp down.

    All,
FWIW, I'm going to spare the truck and order a full yard of sand so the vendor will deliver it for free. The excess will be saved and used for a walking path paving project that's planned for late fall.
