112 in Fresno yesterday; good thing we came all the way back and camped in Los Padres NF.

Flight trip became a cluster fuck as I was telling Ryan yesterday.

We were scheduled to fly out at 640am yesterday only to have 3 different delays and multiple airlines systems go down completely.

Got a bad feeling about the whole thing so we called it off.

On the way home from Fresno, Steph suggested going camping. I'll never say no to that so we hit up my storage, got some ice, and took off.

First time Bronx has ever gone camping, and aside from fucking someone's dog up (tell you later lol) he was awesome.

Just as I'm not asking you to change either. Just discussing...

I agree completely though - it is hard seeing folks walk away without punishment. I'm sure we all struggle with that.

I have several friends who are ex-meth heads or otherwise what would be labeled as wastes of oxygen depending on what stage of their lives you happened to meet them. Luckily, these friends found themselves able to get out of that life, due in no small part to the compassion of others. I think it would suck if everyone had the same mindset as that guy who dragged the dude, or the internet tough guys who brag they'd shoot someone over a stolen stereo. We've all made mistakes that if they happened in front of those type of folks who don't value human life, none of us would probably be here.

I'm not sure if Buddhism is the thing to try to help "solve" those issues, maybe, I guess it couldn't hurt, lol. But I think realizing that we live in an imperfect world is probably a good start. Good things happen to bad people, and bad things happen to good people, and everywhere in between. Wishing everyone who does bad things to be punished is a noble goal, but an unobtainable one.

Hmmm interesting. My tank was overpressuring this weekend when I was up high. No performance issues, but I could smell it.

You guys are really savvy so thought you'd offer a solid. I don't have a manual plus I was driving from out of town.

How high up? Trying to think back if I've had that issue, highest I've had my truck up wheeling/camping was about 10.5k feet (southern Sierra near Mammoth). Don't recall having that issue.

I do recall smelling gas real bad once going up into the Sequoia forest which was a few thousand feet less than above, but it turned out to be my jerry cans. They don't like elevation very much. Bed of my truck was wet with gas from one of them starting to leak.

Bad clutch? IDK...how many miles on it? I don't remember the neutral start/no start in gear issue, but when I had a near worn clutch go bad on my last car I had a hell of a time getting it into gear while started. Had to limp to the shop in 1st gear practically.

I was up to 12k, but even 8-10k I was smelling it. I think the tank was overpressuring and leaking out one of the seals on top. Opening the gas cap relieved it.

I suspect something with the charcoal canister, but I haven't looked into it yet.
