I purchased 16 awg wire to extend the wires from the pods to the wiring harness and just realized it's slightly thicker than the led pod wires. I already cut into the wires I purchased so I can't return them and would rather not make another trip to Home Depot. Does anyone know if it's safe to use different wire sizes in this case?

    Thanks!

You're fine, going to a bigger wire is better than going smaller.

I did it for my rear pods. 4 years later, no problems
