Pulled the trigger on some rear components and wanted feedback about shock travel. Bed has a snugtop on it and I always keep a box of tools/junk along with a 7 gal aquatainer in it, so it probably adds up to about 300lbs total over stock.

I've got a set of Icon RXTs on order, and I'm pairing them with some adjustable reservoir fox shocks part #985-26-118. For reference these are the numbers:

    Extended Length 24.800"
    Compressed Length 15.200"
    Travel 9.600"

Would option 2 or 3 be best for these shocks? Will I have any concerns about bottoming out/hitting the droop limit? If anyone has this combo or similar let me know how they ride!

    Thanks

I wouldn't go stage 3. I have RXT springs on stage 1, albeit with kings with resi and adjusters. Just a headache rack and a 3/16 fuel skid in the rear, full 3/16 skids up front. I got almost 2" of lift. Its really soft and is a pleasure to drive vs the old leafs. When I load with 500+lbs, I just turn up the damping and it rides well.

I can't say for sure what it's like to do the stage 2 or 3, but I can guarantee it'll ride rougher. Some people don't mind, and just want the max lift. Some people want ride quality. 300# isn't much, so if you decide to use the add a leaf I would go stage 2 max.

It also depends on if you want to keep some rake. Did you upgrade the fronts? Do you have any lift on the front?

i used to be on option two and it rode terrible even with weight. Option 1 is probably going to be better for 300 pounds

Spacer lift up front for now, until the bank account recovers. Just took some measurements from hub to fender with the constant bed weight and stock TRDOR suspension.

    Front spacer: 1.5"
    Rear spacer: 2"

    Front driver: 23.50"
    Rear driver: 22.75"

    Front passenger: 23.75"
    Rear passenger: 23.00"

So I actually have a 3/4" drop front to back, and a 1/4" drop passenger to driver.
