Re-calibration needed after windshield replacement?

    Well I got you ALL beat……driving home FROM the dealership, less than 150 miles on it and BOOM…….rock hit and by the time I got home (275 miles), it had spread across the windshield. I literally have the worst luck. On my other car, took it in to get the windshield replaced, pull out of the shop and less than 5 miles down the road - BOOM - rock chip. Fortunately, they went ahead and repaired it for me for free. I go through windshields like there is no tomorrow. Grrrrrrr

    it was $500 to replace the windshield on my Tacoma. $300 for the calibration which I passed on because they had to reschedule and I just didn't show up. It is going to cost me $2,200 for the replacement windshield on my Macan. I would love to know where to get Porsche replacement glass cheaper than this.
