Hey guys I just wanted to know if I could use this rim from a 2000 4runner as a spare for my 2012 Double cab sport Tacoma. From my understanding they are both 6 lug.

It should work , it’s the same bolt pattern and as long as you have aluminum OEM wheels on your 2012 the lugs should fit as well.

That's a big fat maybe. I had rims from a 4runner as winter rims, didn't fit because they rubbed on the calipers so I had to use wheel spacers. And those were 17's

I believe the 4 runners have bigger calipers but I could be wrong.

The issue wasn't circumference fitment, it would rub on the backside of the rim against the caliper.

    Nope....but here's a pic for reference.
So yes.... different rim, but also from a 4runner

I got ya , haven’t messed with any 4 runners but just assumed that’s what it was. Learn something new everyday.

Call Detroit when they are open. They can look up back spacing, offset, and the rest. They have been around a while and should know.

I believe that the main issue that you will encounter running this wheel as a spare would be that it uses a shank style lug nut. If your setup uses acorn lug nuts, you will have to keep special shank lug nuts in the truck just in case you have to use the spare. This wheel should fit as long as you don't slap a wide 285 tire on it due to the unknown offset/bs versus your current setup. I've seen older models 4runners rockin the tacoma trd wheels with no issues.
