My lucky son

    I got my 16 y/o his first vehicle, an '04 Tacoma 2wd 'Tacoma Sport' SR5 with 115k miles, one owner with all service records from new. It was the best one I've found, with a perfect interior and no issues.

    I am a little confused about TRD Sport vs. TRD Off-road, son says this one has the wrong sticker on the back and it should be Off Road. The diff is definitely a locker and my brief research says the Off Road has locker vs Sport with LSD. So he may be right, either way it's a great truck.

    My first vehicle back in the dark ages was also a Toyota, dad sported me $100 which was half the price of a '72 Corona (18RC / 4 speed) that I drove 5 years all over CA and beyond.

    Here it is. Definitely locks up the diff, my son did it low speed on a cul-de-sac and I could hear the click and the tires scrubbing, told him 'nyet' unless in the dirt.
