Tailgate camera install question

Hi guys I’m trying to install the backup camera on my 2014 Tacoma and need to get this black clip off where the camera would go. Anyone know how to get it off? Do you just pry it out? I don’t want to break anything so I figured I’d ask the boys ... thanks

 

You need to take the plastic cover of the back of the tailgate. It is held on with twelve torch head bolts. After the back plate is removed, there are two bolts or screws holding the assembly into the tailgate. Remove those, remove the little placeholder and install camera. Assembly the reverse of disassembly. Hope this helps
