Look on the 710 cap, it will have the recommended viscosity. Or you could check out the Owner's Manual, its typically in the glove box. Pull the latch in front of the passenger seat.

If you want maintenance recommendations, it would be best to provide us with a little information. Year, make, engine, mileage, and what maintenance was last done and when

As you can see, you’re running too cool, so Cooking oil is best, it’ll get that water temp gauge in the red, right where it needs to be.

If your using the temp gauge to determine when it is time to do maintenance you probably need to take it into the dealer because you probably have more serious problems than just needing an oil change.

Also, just curious, what did your temp gauge read before and how did it change to let you know it was time to change the oil?

Looks like you are low on blinker fluid. Arrow should be on the red line.
Open the hood and look for a plastic container with red liquid, color matches the dash.
Add some water until the resevior is full.

    Evening,

I think the thought here is you may want someone experienced to do your maintenance.

Unless we have been trolled, then you do really need to familiarize yourself with the basics of the dash indicator lights and gauges and avoid opening the hood at all costs.

Jesus guys, quit being a bunch of fucks. Not everyone is an 'expert' on all things motorized and mechanical. Gotta start somewhere--op, there is a sticky post here that gives good maintenance tips. Also, if you use the search function, you'll find there are tons of great info. Just gotta spend some time reading. As far as your Temps, middle of the way is completely normal. MOTOR Oil is 0W-20. Takes 6.2 qts but I just changed mine today and always just add 6 and go. Hope thats a start for you

Unless it is the I4, then he could blow out seals or gaskets with 6qt. Like you mentioned, he should definitely spend time reading.

I don't think they do anymore. Unfortunately not all cars even have a temp gauge anymore. Hell, we've seen the progression of a loss of transmission fluid dipstick.

How many miles on your truck ? There is a maintenance schedule in the owners manual . A lot of members use mobile one Synthetic for a motor oil change . If you want to learn do some reading , watch some videos and have a friend with some knowledge help . As already stated that's a picture of the coolant gauge . If you do attempt a oil change make sure you don't drain the transmission .
