Alright everybody it’s time for another project for the Taco. Going to build a tube rear bumper for it.

At first i wanted to put a swivel on it but I’m not sure I’ll be able to do I found a spare carrier that mounts to the hitch that folds down i think I’ll go with.

Send me some ideas. Still looking around to see what I want to build it off of but I know I want something fairly simple. Just tired of having the dented stock bumper on it.

Also if anyone has already built one, explain the struggles you had if you had any. It would help me out a lot, thanks.

I haven't built one for a Tacoma, but I have built one for a couple of other trucks I had, (many moons ago). I sketched one up for the Tacoma and the most difficult area I see is to get the bumper ends to blend in with the box fenders. From what I see of the aftermarket bumpers, they only do a so/so job of blending the ends in and I suppose it's a cost and easy of manufacturing thing. So it depends on how involved and to what extent of eye-appealing you want it.

Man that thing is sharp. I actually just found one for 250 and I’m going to pick it up now so I won’t be building one anymore unless I meet this guy and the bumpers trash
