Does the RCMP wear shorts and drive Nissans?

    Drive past a F150 that was pulled over today. Red/blue lights flashing on a Nissan SUV. Person with black bulletproof vest that said "POLICE" on the back. He was wearing shorts. RCMP is the police force assigned to where I am in BC.

    Potential fake cop? Didn't think much of it at the time as I was just driving past. This was hours ago.

    I work on some RCMP cars, they can be any model, and require no indication. Very rare to see them use the lights.

    It couldnt hurt to report it, after the nova scotia shootings nothing is too small to report.

    Police seem to be expanding their vehicles from the usual unmarked, they can drive whatever they want as unmarked. I've even had local police show up in a beat up old Buick to my place after a break in, totally not expected, they said it was their impound lot car of the day as they worked the area undercover.
