Staying stock. I’ve no need to go bigger.

The most off-roading I’ve done in the last 4 years is going to H‑E‑B during Icepocalypse.

Was out on my pedal bike a couple of weeks back when a chick driving a roach coach blew through the stoplight on 29 and Ronald Reagan and tore the front end off the Honda Civic that was next to me. Well, about 30 feet in front of me, or I wouldn't be typing this...

I circled back to see if the gal in the Civic needed some help/a witness, and the driver of the roach coach walked back to the scene with her insurance info. The Civic driver took a picture of it, and the roach coach gal asked if she could leave. The gal in the Civic seemed unsure, so I said, "hell, no! You just blew a red light and tore the front end off this car!". The Civic driver called 911, and a WilCo Sheriff happened to be driving by and stopped. When he started talking to the perp who caused the smashup, all of a sudden she couldn't speak English. I was able to overhear her tell him that she didn't have a license, and I relayed that to the Civic driver, who asked me if I was sure, stating "if that was true, why is she driving?"... Stifling back a chuckle, I told her that this is 2021, not 1958. The Civic driver also told the cop that the perp had no problem speaking English to us, and he replied, "that's okay, the Sheriff's deputy that has been assigned the accident is going to be here soon. His name is Deputy Lopez..." I was laughing my ass off at the implication, and Deputy Lopez took care of what needed to be done when he got there.

I gave my statement, got back on my bicycle and rolled home, laughing most of the way.

I was out with a chain saw, clearing the neighborhood trail of all the broken cedar from the monsoons a few weeks back. The one guy that helped me clear part of it a few months back had dropped a big branch into a creek bed, which oddly enough is how beavers make dams, and the same thing happened here! Lazy ass, had to clean it all out. Hot and humid; I didn't die, but sat in the pool for 45 minutes when I got home, getting what little wits I have about me back.

I don't have a dam in my new creek, and the clouds kinda' ruined my attempted float today! Could have used some of that sky shade this week. Here's my improved creek.

Cedar Park Lock and Key. Mom & Pop locksmith, next to Jardin Corona's on 183.

The dealership is $$$$; Toyota keys are expensive, but they have the computer stuff to make it work.

If you have the metal tag with five digits, take that with you.

My Ford had that five-digit keypad, I was always afraid of a malfunction so had just the key (no electronics) made up to open the door. Well hidden under the engine.

Depends on if you need it to just open the door, or if you need it to start the truck. Door key can be a cheap copy,,, starting requires a programmed key.
