I got rear-ended recently, and decided to just give my hitch a nice coat of rattlecan and call it done for the time being.

However, noticed that the outlet in my bed (the OEM one) doesn’t work anymore. I started tracing the wiring, and it seems to go directly up to the front. But I’m wondering if it uses the rear wiring harness (which is no longer on of course) in some way that’s just not obvious.

Anyone know what might be going on?

Have you checked the fuse for it up by the battery

Crap, totally lost track of this. Sorry about that.

I *did* check the fuse, yeah. No issues there. I also tried to temporarily hook the wiring back up from the broken bumper, and it didn't seem to make a difference. Though the blind spot monitor computer is destroyed, so I'm not if something else is going on there or not (if it does require something in the rear harness anyway).

The Voltage Inverter and the Power Outlet share the same Ground.
What I don’t know is, where it’s located. Maybe @caribe makaira has location diagram?

Do the lights for the inverter on the switch work?
And have you checked all the associated fuses?

Hood Struts, My version Fogs always ON, Map & Overhead Light Mod,
It's right next to the inverter, floor board.

    Thanks

I’m going to guess, this isn’t his problem.
Since it isn’t associated with the rear bumper or harness.
