I have an 09 Tacoma and here in the past couple months it has acted up on me a few times. Shut it off and it wouldn’t start back up and just the AT Oil Temp light stayed on when the key was on. Would wait and fired back up. Did that a couple times to me a few weeks apart. The past couple times this has happened when shut off and tried to start back up few minutes later it would crank but would only turn over for a second. The AT temp light, check engine, low oil pressure and battery light all stayed on. Waited till next day and it would start up and drive no problems. Had a guy scan it and only code that appeared was engine immobilizer phase 3

Do you have a different key you can try?
Maybe it’s a bad transponder chip in the key?
It’s probably not, but it’s the easiest thing to try (if you have a spare key?)
