No. It wasn't the headlights that caused the electrical issue. It was remote starter kit that caused issue.

The headlights were installed about a year before remote starter kit was installed about 2 months ago. I'm going to call remote starter company about replacement.

After the fix is done and if the lights aren't working, then I'll call for replacement

Well, looks like we found the problem then. There's definitely something done very wrong if the remote start kit caused all that to happen.
Likely a bad ground placement, a shorted power wire, or half-ass fused connection.

    Good luck!

Yes I figured that which I remember other thread that someone had similar problem that he paid thousands of dollars for the fix.

I bet Toyota wants thousands of dollars for the repair plus 100 dollars for diagnose. I told the service advisor to wait. I have a fuse tester. The fuse box under the hood is good. I haven't tested the fuse box under the dash. I plan to do it soon before I take it to shop. It could be cheaper if done at the small shop.

I rather to get new tires first then I will have electrical system fixed. The tire threads on my truck are low. I plan to get KO2 or something that would fit without modification to the fenders. Then sometime in the future, if I decide to get lift, then I will get new bigger tires and all that mods like overlanders have on their trucks.

I am not worrying about using my truck at night since I plan to drive alternative vehicle in meantime. Electrical system repair can wait.

@dirty deeds you forgot to add me to the list on first page. I said "I am in" in my first post in this thread. :boink:

Anyone here who have 265/70/17 on the truck? If so, any fenders modification needed? I checked on the website and it says it could rub.. Hmm. Right now, I have 265/65/17 which I have factory stock tires.

Ask yourself this question, "Why are tires a better choice to spend money on, if my truck burns to the ground because my remote starter and headlights don't work?"

Get the electrical system fixed man.

I have been driving with electrical issue for 2 months, truck is fine. I rather to get new tires before these tires become bald. I have plenty of time for the electrical fix before Sept comes up.

Like I said, I can drive alternative car at night in meantime. If I go to the park, I take my truck for day trails. Night, I can ride with one of the guys who has seat open. If I have to go home, then I can leave the park by 5pm so I can get home before dark.

If the electrical is fixed by the time I go to the park, I can go to the trails at day or night.

Alright man, whatever floats your boat. I wouldn't listen to me anyway.
I've got a lightbar and horn that don't work, badly worn and rubbing 35s in the front, alignment been out since Rush last year, a clutch that sometimes engages and sometimes won't, and a dented driveshaft.

But my headlights and taillights work when they should, and I have 2 new tires. Along with all the parts to fix the aforementioned.

    Semantics. Lol, yes. No.

It's in the crumple zone, and I plan to do some changes in the front anyway. Not before this meet though.
