Has anyone with a 3rd gen tried fitting the setup mentioned in the title on stock suspension? I’ve seen multiple cases where they do, and do not rub and I was wondering if anyone could give me their input

I've worked on several tacomas with 265/70/16 and -12 offset that didn't rub. Not sure how much difference that 1 inch will make

I have the same question. I put my stock tires onto a new set of Rims (17x9 -12 Offset) and of course they fit and the do stick out a bit further but am not sure what size I can go with when I need to replace the tires. Following this thread as well. Americas Tire told me I could do a bigger tire when I was ready and they could calculate it in their computer but he did not give me specific numbers.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve been in this thread, but are you running a 265/70/17 with the 17x9 with a -12? Or 265/65/17’s?

I’m running 265/65R17’s with the 17x9s and the -12 offset

I'm about to get 17x8.5 -12 offset on Stock Off Road Suspension, would those tires work without rubbing?

    Thank you!

I rubbed with 265/70/17 -10 on stock suspension. Did some trimming and heat gunning the liners and fixed most of it. Got a small lift and an alignment and it went away completely.

I rubbed slightly with 265/70/17 on 17x8.5 w/ -10 offset. Wasn’t bad, only under certain circumstances. I would say you will be ok, but may have to trim some plastic slightly and use a heat gun. I installed some Bilstein 6112s adding about an inch up front and no more rubbing.
