I'm thinking of getting a set of dedicated winter tires/wheels so I need to be able to reprogram the tire pressure sensors when swapping tires.

I have a tool for reprogramming the pressure sensors (Bartec 400). I think tire shops use this type of tool. It lets you scan/activate each sensor then you hook up the tool to the OBD port on the car/truck. The latest software update that I have for it only goes up to 2019 Tacomas. Does anyone know it I use the setting for 2019 Tacomas, it would work for a 2021 without screwing anything up?

My guess is that if it works with 2019 it will work on a 2021. They are both 3rd gen Tacoma’s. The software/firmware probably hasn’t been updated since 2019 to show 2021 as an option. This is only a guess. YMMV.

Easiest and best way is to Clone 4 aftermarket sensors (I used Autel) with the OEM TPMS ID#s.
When you swap wheels yourself, make sure the ones removed from the truck are very far away before you start the truck. Now the truck sees the same ID#s and all you need to do is follow the directions in the owners manual about the TPMS button at your left shin.
