    Must not be a third gen 2.7L, no transmission dipstick on mine...

    I agree. I definitely won't win any races in it. As others have said though, it is nice to be able to service the auto trans on the second gen.

    One part of owning the 2006 2.7l that I just learned about and was pleasantly surprised is that we don't have keys with the transponder chip, so I just had 3 replacement keys made that cost me under $10 (with 6.25% tax including). That money saved I can use for new tools!! :santa:

    There is one annoying thing though....at startup, the noise coming from that emission pump...I have driven a lot of 4 cyl rentals & none of them had it....I'm not even sure the other Toyota products have it either....I did do the mod of removing the foam filter & replacing it with the screw on filter that goes on the end of the canister.........

    18" tires and rims, 2.75" Procomp lift, Fox shocks in rear.
    I've hardly ever worked on a car in my life, including changing the oil. With the 2.7L though, I'm eager to work on it. Stuff is easy to get to compared to my wife's Volvo where you need a Ph.D. to replace a freakin' headlight bulb. There's probably a good correlation between simplicity and reliability.
