ACE hardware has the 2ga, fine strand in bulk at the downtown store. I bought a roll a few years ago, might have some left, how much you need? I'll have to check when i get home.

x3 ~5’ pieces if you’ve got it. Otherwise I’ll check out Ace or Bomgaars tomorrow afternoon.

General Air is the best around here. They are a Colorado company with great service. Only place I'll do business. Air gas is a joke

Looks like General Air is the winner / that's x2 for @RecklessTLS in my book. Thanks all!

    What hasn't been modified?
Do you have a way to crimp the lugs on?

Nope. Hoping General Air can do so when I go there this afternoon. Going to call / confirm with them beforehand, though. Otherwise I'll hit em with a dead blow :blahblah: (kidding)

Edit: They can crimp. I just need to confirm correct lugs beforehand or bring some in when I get cable. Do you have a tool, Josh??

Edit x2. @Deathbysnusnu I still may take you up on the cable this week if you don't have a need for it / just bring that in and see what lugs General Air has on hand. They'd mentioned they cannot guarantee lugs since everything they carry is specific to each welder. I guess I was of the impression lugs were fairly universal, tho? Anyone else feel free to chime in and help my ignorant self out.

I have a crimper and I might have some leftover lugs as well.

Just in case you need a fall back option.

I got a dual battery setup I've never put together... it's been sitting way too long....

Good to know. Thanks for sharing what you found Austin

Jason, did you source your lugs locally or order online?

I ordered all of them online from Amazon. These were the ones I went with for the 1/0 winch runs:

Pico 4439C 1/0 AWG Battery Cable 3/8" Tubular Lug Ring / Eye Terminals 15 Per Package https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00030CYD8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_3D58B8Z58KCYF53DGZYT?_encoding=UTF8

I’m sure you could find a better price, but at the time I was scrambling to get the winch up and running and I couldn’t reasonably source them locally.

Harbor freight carries those for just a few dollars. Same stuff.
I solder mine on, but crimp is good too.

Yea I’ve got the hydronic crimp tool. Identical to the one HF sells.
mad for crimps I order online, just match wire size and hole size you want.

I've read solder or crimp as options. Either/or, not a combination of both.

Might go solder route since I do have ability to do so
    Thanks!

Are you still working near Windsor? Might try to catch you at an intersection on your way home one of these evenings if so.

Propane torch and a vise, gloves
Clamp lug in vise, torch it, fill halfway with solder, and while molten, with a gloved hand, shove the wire in and wait for it to cool.

I've crimped dozens of the 2awg lugs with a cheap hammer crimper and haven't had an issue yet. :notsure:
