Yeah, it's new tech. If you watch some of the online reviews, people have said that some of them are stone ejectors (on the sides of the lugs) and the others are baffles (on the flat areas). The baffles are to try and keep road noise down, like the baffles of an exhaust.

 

What wheels are you throwing those on?

Tell me about it. I'm currently scouring the interwebs looking for a matching BFG KM2 in 255/80/17 for my trailer... I've got a lead on one through AutoAnything and they're guaranteeing shipment... on 9/17 from the manufacturer. I'm highly skeptical.
