3rd Generation key fob questions

Hi all you Gen 3 owners. I have questions about the key fob with remote start.
Seeing it will be my first experience with push start etc etc once I get my new truck soon I hope ordered it May 14 and still waiting.I have watched a lot of videos on the new truck but have unanswered questions.
Stupid questions.
Can I leave fob in cab or do I have to carry it in my pocket at all times.
If left in the cab will the doors lock automatically when leaving vehicle
Will I be able to start/ unlock doors with my spare fob from the house.
Please be gentle with your responses as I am learning about the new tech of this truck after all I am 70 years old lol.
If you have any other input that will help me please let me know

You can leave a fob in your truck but, you will need to power it off or, auto start will not work. I don’t think the doors will lock either.

 

To turn off.

hold down lock button while simultaneously pressing unlock twice.

the red light will blink 4 times.

Just a suggestion: When you get your new truck, carry the fob in your pocket or on your person just like you would the keys. That was Toyota's intent.
Then after a few days, redecide if that's an issue to you.
