My steering wheel is now off center to the right when driving in a straight line. I’m wondering if it’s possible something in the steering slipped or more likely if something is bent.

It’s own fault, unfortunately. I decided try and lock the brakes up on my ‘07 on a gravel road at about 20-25mph to see how the ABS would react (because I know it’s TERRIBLE on ice).

However upon applying more than normal brake pressure the steering wheel began to shake violently. It felt like it chattered up and down a LOT.

I immediately made sure the wheel still turned the tires and got out and examined the front end everything looked normal. It still drives straight with no pull either way. Just a steering wheel that now has to be off center to go straight.

Something moved, I'd place my bets on lower control arm bushings. You'll need to take it in for an alignment. Do it soon or you may end up scrubbing a lot of the tread off your front tires. I had a similar thing happen a few years back. Don't wait.

I hit a log wheeling awhile back and knocked my steering wheel of center, all it did was move my aliment cam bolts. Got an aliment done good to go

My steering wheel has been off center since a trip to the dealer for transmission service. Alignment. Not at Toyota dealer.
