Anybody have them and if so how much lift if any did they give you? What length shocks did you end up using? Distance from center of axle to fender opening would be great to know as well. Thanks

Canopy, Topper, Camper I don't remember what brand it is. I can tell stage 2 would be way to much. A 2011 Dbl Cab Offroad stock front spring rate and length? Do you have that info.

Those measurements were with the camper on the truck, as you see in the photo. (sorry not exactly what you were asking for)

It all helps. Thanks. Your reply also turned me towards your web site and some good reading/articles. The Tacoma rear shock relocation kit: does that include tabs for repositioning the lower mount, does the stock frame mount get removed, the new frame mount go in the same location as stock mount and does it require any mods to the bed? Thanks.

Yes, those kits come with a new upper and lower mount, and stock mounts get removed. Shouldn't required any modifications to the bed.

I see this customer has a GFC (they weight about 250-270 pounds) do you definitely recommend going with the stage 2 if running something that weighs that much?

I don't recall this customers entire setup with weight. Looks like their are steel rocker guards as well. Its best to add up the approx weight on your vehicle own vehicle and compare that to weight ratings on the leaf packs you are interested in.

I have stage 1's and I got about 2.5" of lift over stock. I ran stage 2's for a couple weeks and had over 3".

For those sharing photos of your truck setup, I would suggest posting up the total weight in the rear of your truck along with the leaf pack you are running. Otherwise they are just nice photos of your trucks. Images are very deceiving and springs have everything to do with weight on your truck.

Doubt that OP will be able to glean too much from this, unless he has the exact same setup, but here you go!

2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad Double Cab Short Bed Truck Mods:

    · Armor

o TRD Pro 1/4” aluminum skid plate

o CBI 1/4” aluminum rear skid plate (covers area of typical mid and rear skid)

o BAMF 20° rock sliders (no kickouts and no fill plates)

    · Bumpers

o Front SSO Slimline with bull bar

o Warn M9000 winch with synthetic rope (factor55 fairlead and flatlink E)

o Rear RCI hidden hitch bumper (not high clearance. Supposedly 20lbs over stock)

    · Truck bed

o Mobtown Offroad bed bars with (4) maxtrax and ski rack

    o Toyota OEM bed mat

    · Engine bay

    o Fuse tray

    o ARB Twin compressor

    o Northstar X2Power AGM 24F battery

    · Lighting

o Vision X ditch lights on Rago mounts

    Current suspension:

    · Front

o ADS 2.5 with remote reservoirs (650 lb coils)

    o JBA UCA’s

    o CMC chop

    · Rear

o ADS 2.5 with remote reservoirs

    o Deaver U402 stage 1 leafs

o BAMF hammer hangers with BAMF shackles

    · Wheels/tires

o SCS Ray10’s (with matching spare)

o Cooper Rugged Treks 285/70/17 (with matching spare)

Call Deaver Spring at (714) 542-3703, tell them what you're working with and they'll help you. If you can weigh the rear of the truck, do that before you call, but at least have a good idea how much weight you have over the stock weight.
I just installed Stage 1 for my DCLB with Leer shell and about 100# of stuff in the bed most of the time, and got 25" from center of hub to fender at install. Probably will settle a little. My rear weight is between 2,350-2,450#. I'm pretty sure Deaver told me that if I wasn't hauling 400-500 extra pounds all the time, Stage II would be too stiff.

I recently changed from ICON AAL (included in the Icon Stage 4 kit) to Deaver U402 Stage 1. The Icon AAL was great when the truck was empty, but really sagged when loaded up to go camping (basically down on my Archive Garage bump stops).

With approx a 200lb load in the back of the truck, here are the lifts I am seeing with the Deaver Stage 1 setup:
    - 2.6 inch lift over stock
    - 1.0 inch over the Icon AAL (stock overloads removed per instructions)

Ride quality is subjective, but it doesn't feel much stiffer on road than the Icon AAL setup. Haven't had a chance to load up the truck yet, should be interesting.

FWIW: My Deaver U402 Stage 1 leafs were marked as D10045L29 (Deaver confirmed they were the correct parts, just built/labeled at a different facility).

That actually appears to be a home built Ripcord camper, not a GFC

I just put the stage 1s on mine. I have an RSI smartcap on the back. Just got back from a weeklong expedition towing a jeep trailer and it was flawless. It literally sits perfect. I have Bilstein 5100s all the way around and the front is on the fourth setting. I have to say it is smooth!

How much does the SmartCap weigh? About 200lbs or so?
