My wife has an '07 Highlander with a power driver's seat.

A few years ago the lumbar support motor started to work intermittently. Since she drives it 99.9% of the time at least it stopped working in the position she wanted.

OTOH, when I drive it, the lumbar support kills my back. Because it's intermittent, I just suffer with it because if it dies in my position, she'll be very unhappy.

Of course intermittent problems are the hardest to diagnose.

She had the dealer look at it, but they said that the only thing they could do was replace the entire seat. Since it's in her comfort position, she decided not to do that.

I do see on Ebay that the motor and other parts are available. I don't want to just throw parts at it since I have no idea what might be the actual problem.

So, if there is anyone with experience with fixing this on the forum, I'd appreciate ideas.
