Going to be installing a Brute Force Fabs bumper and I don't want to screw it up. There aren't any instructions but what are some of y'all's techniques when doing this? The interwebs have been helpful to an extent. Is the cut at the top of the stock fog light fairing straight through the back near where the bumper cover intersects with the fender?

That is a great product. Just take it over to a Maaco or something like that, speak with someone in charge and ask what they can do for you. ALWAYS haggle to save a few bucks. Shouldnt take them long to do that and you are good to go. Save or sell that front bumper and you are set. I was lucky, someone backed into my bumper and only damaged the bottom part (the top i kept is fine), i used the money to get a lil bs steel bumper installed. I would take this option if i were you OP.

OP I would go with above. No, cutting mistakes to worry about and can always go back and or sell the front bumper as a complete unit.

they're so small I think you could easily duplicolor them in your garage with good results.

I got these pre painted with MGM and am super happy with it. I used a laser level to cut my originally and while it was still pretty good these are perfect. Pretty impressed with them

Thought about going that route but then realized once I cut my fender flare there's no turning back also. Besides eBay bumper covers are still cheaper than that insert.

Are you still running this plastic thing from the old bumper? Not sure if I need to cut it.

This was the good side. Still need to trim a little and straighten the cut.

I had to grind that flat for my CBI T3. Honestly took me a good half day to install, but it looks perfect. I barley trust myself to take a grinder to the truck.. and i am not watching a clock to go home.

A small grinder actually melts the plastic as it cuts and leaves a smooth edge if you keep it fairly flat and go slow. Also keep the rotation leading into the paint side so melty bits go to the back.

I used a hacksaw blade lol. It was super controlled and it cut good. I'll test fit the bumper tomorrow and see if I need to trim more.

I just cut mine yesterday! Went about 1/2" down from the flat horizontal edge above the fog lights. BAMF hybrid bumper.
