This is the one I have. Have used it a lot - works great. Keep an eye on these though - I have this one and it's android only. my work phone switched to apple so now I have to have an old android phone for when I need to run a CEL or check temps or anything. No big deal, but I'm sure there are some that are cross platform. I have no complaints. Would recommend.

You should be fine, and if you have transmission issues later, take the hitch off before dropping it off at the dealership.

Instead of U-haul, consider a Penske rental.

IMHO, with rental trucks the Penske is cost competitive but a much nicer truck to use and drive. Pull your Tacoma with a tow dolly or car trailer.

You will likely be running on I-35. Its a boring haul. Temps can be pushing the high 90's. Its not flat. Fuel can be long distance separation.

As long as you don't exceed the tow load of the vehicle, your A/T will be just fine. But I wouldn't be spraying any cold water on any hot surfaces as you may crack/damage something that's hot. Just take it easy, be safe and have a nice trip.

    Cheers!

When you get there be sure to order a slice at Pappa Keno's Pizza on Mass Street... one slice is like huge... they'll ask if you want it 'cut up' but I never let
them cut it I went just full-slice. Damn good stuff. If you order a large-pizza you might have trouble fitting it into the back of the truck - yea it's like that
    big - huge - ... -

Let us know how it turned out.
