I had read BenWa's old posting on how he created a power sliding rear window retrofit. He laid a great foundation for a feature that I wanted in my 2010 Tacoma double cab. My only concern was reducing the travel distance of the power window actuator from 17" to 12". BenWa accomplished this by dissambling the unit and carefully modifying the cable lengths. I wasn't too thrilled to attempt this approach and desired an easier solution. My solution was to dis-assemble the power window actuator and insert five 3/8" O.D. x 1/4" I.D. x 1" length sleeve bearings obtained from Menards (SKU# 2020024) into the passenger side of the slide unit. They fit perfectly, do not touch the cable and limits the travel distance to 12". Refer to the photo of this modification below. The rest of the installation pretty much followed what BenWa had done. I did mount the rocker switch in the shifter benzel with the arrows pointing up and down instead of left to right. This was done to mimic what most power window buttons indicate - down is open and up is closed.
