hey all, doing some research and finding alot of stuff that is kinda odd,
i know to expect some side effects people have been saying that they use the bathroom a lot more, and that their hungry has gotten worse.
others have said that it doesnt work well mainly lost under five pounds, do not know if they are eating right and actually working out or not they didn't say, but also said once they stopped taking it they gained it all back, again that could be due to the people not eating and working out good.
also another side effect is that people have been saying that they have not been able to sleep as well since they started taking it

just wondering if anyone out there has taken this and what happened
or if yall have taken another kind and found good results.

    thanks,
    Chris

I was working out and eating super healthy for about 1.5 yrs and had lost a good amount of weight and was very fit. I wanted to lose those last 10lbs and be super lean and have the lowest body fat possible so I decided to take it. I did the routine along with my workouts and healthy eating and it made Me super jittery, made my whole body feel like it was on fire, and my heart was always racing with it. I did the whole introductory period, exactly as prescribed on the bottle but it didn't workout for me. The side effects were horrible so i quit it after 2-3 weeks. I would advise against it and just lose weight naturally. Those chemicals can't be good, or even ok, for your body

I tried it back in '02. The only side-effect I had (and it was enough to make me stop taking it) was the my throat seemed to close up a little. It got to the point I couldn't really swallow the pills anymore and was tough to eat food. Came on pretty quick so I stopped taking the pills. Was quite scary.

Well I have never taken the stuff. But do you remember the "as a new doctor" on the original commercials? See the original formula, if taken for extended periods, caused liver failure. Yep that's right LIVER FAILURE! That's why it was taken from the market. The new formula is "supposed" to not cause the same signs and symptoms, but I seriously doubt they changed that much from the original. However, I have heard numerous people come in and tell me "I feel like my hearts racing" or "I can't sleep... feel jittery all the time, like I had to much coffee".

All I can say is this, weight is not lost by pills or certain formulas. It is lost by diet and exercise, period. You can eat what you like as long as its in moderation.

The only diet plan I have really seen do anything for people is weight watchers; mainly because the majority of resturants advertise that in their menu, and people are going to go out to eat.

Bottom line: Hydroxycut scares me. Not worth the risk.

In regards to those people experiencing a racing heart, increased body heat, difficulty sleeping, etc., it can essentially all be attributed to the same cause.

The purpose of the "Ripped-Fuel" substitutes (I consider that to be more or less the original name-brand body shredder) is to maximize your metabolism and have it running all day long. For most people their metabolism ebbs and flows depending on the time of day, proximity to food intake, and momentary level of activity.

These pills are designed to override your body's inherent mechanics and schedule. Therefore, you may feel this intense moments of near exertion, similar to during or immediately after an intense workout, when you're not doing anything that should induce such a feeling.

Anyway, I'm not condoning and certainly not recommending the use of such supplements. In fact, I'm pretty much of the feeling that these aren't much different from running your Tacoma at 4500rpm full time. Sure, you might feel like your truck is a monster and it's going to be thirsty non-stop, but eventually something is going give. Your body will constantly crave food-intake to match the needs of your metabolism. But if you don't stifle that appetite, you'll just be running in circles.

But, these feelings really shouldn't be a surprise and no they are NOT an occasional occurrence. Pretty much EVERYONE that uses this stuff will feels these effects. It's just that only some understand and report them. While the others (no offense Manny, speaking about the general population) expect some sort of miracle pill that will be like adding a single nut to their diets - not noticeable impact on their day to day, but astounding results.

In the end, you can ALWAYS eat a little better and ALWAYS be a little more active. Find a set of stairs to climb each day to give yourself that little bit extra burn. Swap out your 85/15 beef for 95/5. And count your calories; sounds boring, but most people will be amazed if they really examine how much they truly shove down their throats each day. Look deep and find your weakness, we've all got one; I for sure do (many in fact).

Good luck. Hope I didn't ramble too much.

If your looking for appetite supression via the pharmalogical method then phentermine works well. You need a script for it. If your lifting heavily you should monitor your body fat % more than just weight because of muscle gain. As others stated you can always eat better and improve what you eat.

You didn't put the weight on by taking pills, so taking pills is not going to take it off. My favorite excercises are the dinner table push away and the refridgerator door closes.
