Headlight Low Beam Is Out

Low beam is out, I checked the bulb and it is good. When I put power to it it lit.
Any thoughts on what else I should check.
I can take it to the dealer as a last resort, hope it is covered under wwarrenty.

Have you added anything electrical to the truck? Or made any recent repairs or mods to anything in the fuse box? Have you checked the headlight fuse(s)?

Start with a test light (or a meter, though for this a simple test light should suffice) and check for voltage from the fuse to the light socket. Look for any obvious signs of damage from past or current mods or even rodent damage. Good luck!

 

Thanks for the help. One thing I failed to mention. Only the low beam on the driver’s side is out. All the other lights work. That is why I do not think it is a fuse.

 

Four headlights, four fuses. It's not a four fuse MGB. ha!

 

Are these fuses under the hood or under the dash? Did not know there was separate fuses for each light.

 

Under the hood. Look at the cover for the ID. The low beams are on opposite of the cables going into the box on left-hand side.

Thank you roundrockyom and caribe malaria. The fuse was popped, that was the problem. Replaced the fuse and the light is working. Did not know each light has its own fuse. Thanks again guys.
