    SOLD

I just upgraded my suspension, so my previous setup is now for sale. The setup consists of TRD Pro Fox 2.5" coilovers and rear shocks (from a 2019), plus a Westcott Designs front lift for the coilovers, and OEM rear leaf springs with a Headstrong progressive 3 leaf AAL plus their extra 1/2" lift shim.

I purchased the shocks in November of 2020 from the original owner, and they had under 1,000 miles on them (he said 800). I've put about 3,800 miles on them myself, so they're somewhere between 4500 and 5,000 miles total. 98% street/city driving, but they have been on 3 camping trips. Nothing hard core, just a few fire roads to our campsites, and one trip up to the snow.

I also installed the Westcott Designs front lift kit for TRD Pro models, which consists of a new spring perch for the bottom of the coilovers, as well as a 1/4" top spacer to correct the geometry from the spring being slightly compressed. This setup not only adds another 1 to 1.5" to the ride height, but it also slightly stiffens up the front end, which is perfect if you're running a littel bit of extra weight (skid plates, sliders, etc.). It also includes spacers to slightly raise the front bump stops to align with the new ride height and prevent the shocks from bottoming out.

For the rear, the setup includes OEM leaf springs with a Headstrong 3 leaf progressive add-a-leaf installed, plus Headstrong's extra 1/2" lift spacer. The leaf springs have 14k miles on them, and the AAL has the same 3800 that I put on the shocks/coilovers. I'll include the Headstrong u-bolts as well (for the thicker leaf pack), but the experts will say that you're really not supposed to reuse u-bolts, so you should consider acquiring new ones.

I'll also include the original spring perches for the coilovers, in case you'd like to swap back to stock ride height.

I'm running about 150 to 200 extra pounds up front: Body Armor slimline bumper insert, Smittybilt X20 10k winch with synthetic line, a dual AGM group 35 battery setup, and White Knuckle sliders. I'm also running about 200 extra pounds in the rear: Diamondback HD bed cover, custom bed slide, 33" E rated spare tire, ARB twin compressor, and the shared weight of the sliders. With that weight, this setup yielded me exactly 2" of lift in the front, and about 1.5" in the rear.

Price for the entire setup is $1500, picked up. I'm in the Temecula area of Southern California. Not willing to ship at this time, due to the size and weight of the items. Also prefer to sell everything together at the moment, as this is a perfect turn key solution for any 3rd gen Tacoma. Photos below show stock height vs. this setup installed.

Unfortunately, I won't be heading your way anytime soon. Normally, I'd be in your neck of the woods at least one every few months, as my mom lives in Sierra Vista, Az. But she's going through some stuff right now, and I won't be heading out that way any time soon.

That's a bit lower than I'm willing to go. I already have higher offers for just the shocks, but I can't really separate them from the Westcott kit at this point because everything is already installed on the coilovers. Sending you a PM, maybe we can work something out.

If anyone is interested in this setup but doesn't want the leaf springs/AAL/lift shim, I can do $1350 for just the front/rear Fox 2.5s with the Westcott components.

I would take the Westcott components if you were separating them, but that would require removing them from the strut assembly.

If I had a spring compressor, I would consider going that route. I realize that not everyone is looking for the full setup. It wasn't terribly difficult to install the Westcott components, but I had to rent the compressor to do it. Took me about 2 hours (the shocks were already off the rig, not yet installed).

The whole setup is pending a local sale at this time. I'll post an update here once finalized or if it falls through (should be picked up tomorrow morning).

Appreciate the offer. I won't have the ability to ship, unfortunately. I don't have anything sturdy enough to pack them in, so I'd have to purchase heavy duty packing materials at full retail. The cost of the packing materials alone would probably end up being $200 or more, and that's before any actual shipping charges. I don't even have anywhere local to purchase heavy duty packing supples.

Trust me, I WANT to dump it all right back into the truck, but the wife says it needs to pay toward the credit card that all the new suspension just got charged to. :spending: :frusty:

@JFanaselle , how did the TRD Pro Fox suspension feel compared to the stock TRD OR Bilsteins? I have a sport, installed the OR Bilsteins, found that the ride was a little to soft for me. Wasn’t back to the sport Hitachi’s. Now I have a set of TRD Pro Foxes waiting to be installed so was just curious how you felt. I actually like the handling of the Sport Hitachi’s, but also like a more smoother ride. I was also thinking of getting the Westcott lift so would close be to the setup you had, less the AAL.

It rode really nice, especially on road. You are correct that the stock OR suspension is very soft, by design. The TRD Pro Fox shocks are already valved to be stiffer than the OR stuff, but then when you add the Westcott kit, it adds a little more preload to the coil spring and makes them perfect. It rode about as stiff as a Sport, but it was plush and compliant when you'd hit high speed bumps. The 2.5" shock bodies move a lot of fluid, and you can feel them progressively getting firmer as they compress, due to the bypass design.

The only real drawback is that they don't have much more travel than the stock OR or Sport setups (about 1" more).
